Which is better for PCB Panel?
First of all, we must understand why the jigsaw puzzle~
Panel is to meet production needs. For example, some customers' boards are too small, which does not meet the requirements for making fixtures. At this time, various boards need to be put together for production.
There are also some special-shaped PCB boards, and the panel is also to improve the utilization rate of PCB boards, thereby avoiding waste and reducing costs.
During SMT placement, it can effectively improve the welding efficiency of SMT placement.
Now that you understand the reason of the panel, let's understand what is V-CUT and stamp hole.
V-cut refers to the V-shaped dividing line between two veneers and between the veneer and the process edge, forming a "V" shape; it is broken and separated after welding.
The stamp hole is inside the main board imposition, and the small boards need to be connected by ribs. In order to facilitate cutting, some small holes will be opened on the ribs, similar to the holes on the edge of stamps.
Which of these two methods of jigsaw puzzles should you choose? In fact, each has its own advantages and disadvantages. How should I say it? Please read below:

When double-sided V-shaped grooves are used, the depth of the V-shaped grooves should be controlled at about 1/3 (the sum of the grooves on both sides), and the groove size is required to be accurate and the depth uniform.
When using stamp holes, it should be noted that the edges should be evenly distributed around each jigsaw board to avoid deformation due to uneven force on the PCB board during welding.
The position of the stamp hole should be close to the inner side of the PCB to prevent the residual burr at the stamp hole after the panel is separated from affecting the customer's assembly of the whole machine.
For irregular PCB boards like circular, V-CUT is impossible, so it is necessary to use stamp holes for panel connection, so stamp holes are often used in special-shaped boards.

Specifications for making stamp holes on Panel boards
1. Stamp holes: It is recommended that 5 to 8 holes of 0.60mm (diameter) form a row (two rows are required) as a group.
2. There must be at least 1.2mm spacing between the double-row boards and the boards (normally 1.6 or 2.0mm).
3. The distance between the edge of the hole and the edge of another hole must be at least 0.25mm to 0.35mm (to ensure sufficient support).
4. It is recommended that the stamp hole be added on the center line of the board frame line or extend to 1/3 of the board, if there is a wire on the board edge, it must be avoided.
5. After adding the stamp hole, the shape of the two sides of the hole must be connected with a straight line or (arc), so that it is easy to determine the position by cutting, so as to avoid more cutting.
